As Michelle Obama is gracing the cover of yet another top fashion glossy, THE top fashion glossy, we thought we would give her a big NoScrunchie thumbs up and dedicate our post to her today. It really makes you think about the journey that black women in society has taken and we think it is a statement of hope to the whole world! Some may say theres enough politics in fashion without there being any more, we say, let the worlds collide and become 1!

Her first appearance on the cover of American Vogue was back in March 2009 and even then she talked fashion with the editor.  This time around, 4 years later, she’d said:

“If you’re comfortable in your clothes it’s easy to connect with people and make them feel comfortable as well”

We agree Michelle, but we think you may have a bit more on your plate that us!

For those in the know, she is wearing Krakoff but what we can’t fail to mention is the statement bangs (and incredibly toned arms!) which apparently, caused more controversy than the death of Michael Jackson! Of course, hubby is photographed with her in a few shots, but he is nicely tucked inside the mag. Needless to say, NoScrunchie HQ thinks she is rocking the new fringe AND the cover of Vogue. Here’s to many, many more!

One thing we did notice on this months cover was her eyebrows seemed slightly softer…Can you tell?!

Would you have bangs? Have you got bangs? We would love to see your before and after pictures! Send them to us on Facebook or join the Forum for more discussions!

Have a NoScrunchie Week and don’t forget to rate your salon!
